REFLEXOLOGY FAQ

What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that works on the feet (or hands or face) to help bring the body back into balance. Specific points on the feet correspond to organs and systems in the body, and applying pressure to these points can encourage natural healing.

What happens during a reflexology session?

You’ll relax in a reclined or seated position, with your socks and shoes removed. I’ll gently work on your feet using pressure and massage techniques to stimulate reflex points, encouraging relaxation and supporting the body’s natural healing response.

What are the benefits of reflexology?

Reflexology may help reduce stress, improve sleep, support digestion, ease tension, and enhance general wellbeing. Many people also report a deep sense of relaxation and calm after sessions.

Is reflexology painful?

Generally, it’s a deeply relaxing experience. Some areas of the feet may feel tender, which can indicate areas of imbalance, but pressure is always adjusted to your comfort.

What should I wear to a session?

Wear something comfortable. Only your feet will need to be uncovered, so trousers that can roll up slightly are ideal.

Is reflexology suitable for everyone?

Most people can enjoy reflexology, but it may not be suitable for certain acute conditions (e.g., infections, deep vein thrombosis). I will always check with you beforehand to ensure it’s right for you.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person. Some feel benefits after just one session, while others may benefit from a series of treatments for longer-term support.

HOMEOPATHY FAQs

What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a gentle, natural system of healing that has been used for over 200 years. It works by stimulating the body’s own ability to heal itself.

Homeopathy is based on a simple principle: "like cures like." This means that a substance that can cause symptoms in a healthy person can also help to relieve those same symptoms in someone who is unwell—when given in a very small, specially prepared dose.

The remedies are made from natural sources such as plants and minerals. They are highly diluted and are safe for people of all ages, including babies and pregnant women.

Rather than just treating symptoms, a homeopath looks at the whole person—your physical symptoms, emotional well-being, lifestyle, and personal history—to find a remedy that matches you as an individual.

What can homeopathy help with?

Homeopathy can support a wide range of chronic and acute conditions including skin issues, allergies, anxiety, hormonal imbalance, digestive problems, sleep disturbances, and more. It is suitable for all ages, from infants to the elderly.

Is homeopathy safe?

Yes. Homeopathic remedies are non-toxic, non-addictive, and safe to use alongside conventional treatments. They are suitable for children, pregnant women, and sensitive individuals.

What happens in a homeopathic consultation?

In your first consultation, we’ll talk in depth about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and emotional wellbeing. This allows me to understand your overall health and choose a remedy that matches your individual needs.

How long before I see results?

This varies from person to person. Some people notice improvements quickly, especially with acute conditions, while deeper, long-standing issues may take longer to respond. I monitor your progress in follow-up appointments.

Can I take homeopathic remedies with conventional medicine?

Yes, homeopathy can safely be used alongside conventional medications. Always let your homeopath know about any medications or treatments you’re using.
